LITERATE STUDENTS

For more than a decade, the MOA has been monitoring the behavior of the Andean bear on a daily basis. In addition to its scientific character, the MOA has contributed by being an important space for non-formal education allowing local and foreign people to become environmentally literate about the conservation of the Andean bear and its importance. Taking into account the essential role of biodiversity for the functioning of ecosystem dynamics and, therefore, for the development of communities.

Testimonios

Amazing place – at the rim of an agricultural zone but they still manage to live next to each other. We were very lucky to see 6 different bears including a mother with cub (which apparently is rare to see). They don’t feed the bears or try to attract them in another way, so no guarantee to see them which is good as ITS NOT A ZOO!

Reto Bachmann
